Intercultural communication on the workplace

Objectives
  • To make managers aware of the importance of intercultural communication.
  • To provide examples of intercultural communication activities.

 

This document informs company managers about the necessity to promote diversity and to be prepared to manage the related conflicts. It stresses the importance of open communication and the promotion of strong relationships among workers to decrease the emergence of conflicts. It is illustrated by examples of activities carried out by large companies to enable intercultural communication and therefore minimize cross-cultural misunderstandings.
